Newspaper Memorials:

In loving memory of Private Wm Marshall (late Scottish Rifles) died August 3rd 1918.

"God knows how much we miss you,
More than loving words can tell,
Not one day have we forget you,
Since you bade this world farewell."

Fondly I loved him, he's dear to me still,
But in grief I must bend to God's holy will;
My sorrow is great, my loss hard to bear,
But angels, dear husband, will guard you with care."

From his loving wife and son, Jack.

"In our home you are fondly remembered,
Happy memories cling round your name;
True hearts that hold you in deepest affections,
Always will love you in death just the same."

From father and mother in law and sisters and brothers.

"Ever in our thoughts,
Too dearly loved to be forgotten."

From his Wife and Son, Jack and all, 20 Wilkinson Street, Haslingden.
