Newspaper Report:

Thomas Schofield Beggs, cadet in R.F.C. died in Hastings Sanatorium on Tuesday.
He left Porritts Office, Helmshore, a month ago to join the R.F.C., though he would have been 18 only next month, and had to go into hospital suffering from cerebral spinal fever.
He was brought up by his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lord, 9 Holly Mount Street, Helmshore.  He was connected with Helmshore Wesleyan Sunday School and was very popular.

In ever loving memory of our dearly beloved Nephew, Cadet Thomas Schofield Beggs, who died in Hastings Sanatorium, March 19th 1918, in his 18th year.
