Newspaper Report:

Private James Talbot, a sniper with the Loyal North Lancashires, died of wounds about the 21st of June 1917, after serving with the colours just over a year.  Aged 29, he lived with his mother at 3 Booth Street, Haslingden, and worked at Robinson's Mill.  He had been wounded once before in October, 1916, and has a brother serving.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday at King Street Wesleyan Church.  He is on their roll of honour.
