In loving memory of Fred Ormerod, 26469 2/5th  West Riding Regiment. Who was killed in France, February 4th 1918, and interred at Roclincourt Military Cemetery, North East of Arras.

"What pain he bore we cannot tell,
We never saw him die;
We only know he passed away,
And never said good-bye.

Some day we hope to meet him,
Some day we know not when,
To clasp his hand in the better Land,
Ne ver to part again."

From Father, Mother, and Family.

"One year has passed and still we miss him,
Friends may think the wound is healed.
But they little know the sorrow,
Deep within our hearts is sealed."

From his loving Mother and Family, 8 Spring Vale, Haslingden.
