PRISONER OF WAR - PRIVATE J.W. DOBSON

Mr and Mrs. Holden, 49 Hudrake, Haslingden have received news through the Red Cross that Private J. W. Dobson, East Yorkshire Regiment, is a prisoner of war in Germany.
Private Dobson has been missing since may 27th.  He joined the colours in March of last year.

2) PRESUMED DEAD - MISSING HASLINGDEN SOLDIER.

Official intimation has been received by Mr. Albert Dobson of the presumed death of his brother Private J.W. Dobson, 49 Hud Rake, Haslingden and who has been missing since May 27th 1918.
Private Dobson, who was only 20 years of age, was employed as a spinner at Clough End Mill, Haslingden, prior to joining up and was associated with Salem Wesleyan Chapel.  He was much respected in the district.
