Newspaper Memorials:

In loving memory of my dear Husband, Private. Albert Edward Dobson, Lancashire Fusiliers, died of wounds June 10th 1917.

"One year has passed, and still I miss him,
Friends may think the wound has healed;
But little do they know the sorrow,
That lies within my heart concealed.

Ah, he hath fought a gallant fight,
In Death's cold arms he persevered,
And after life's uncheering night,
The harbour of his rest is neared.

Eternal rest give unto him O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon him,
"May he rest in peace."

From his loving Wife, 2 Flaxmoss Street, Haslingden.

"Never a morning dawns,
And never a night returns,
But what we think of these."

"Some day we may understand."

From his loving Sister and Brother in Law - Hetty and Fred.
